The Mervent forest

A site strengthens the end of the first Iron Age (6th century -jC) (Period Celtic) was established on this height. This site is one of the only known in the West of France.

The largest forest department of Vendée, the forest-Mervent Vouvant covers 5000 hectares, this natural site, in addition to its biological function, a large plant and animal diversity.

The judicious use of the site offers many opportunities for sports and recreation: hiking and walking, riding and mountain biking, climbing, boating …

The mining center Faymoreau

Discover a whole village who lived from mining coal for 130 years, from 1827 to 1958 ..

The Mining Centre, opened in September 2000 to discover this amazing adventure through 3 visits:
